WEEBALL | Ages 2–3
Fun, first-time intro to the game

Introducing Wee Ball!

Wee Ball is a fun and engaging introduction to baseball for our youngest players, starting at age 2. The program focuses on helping kids get comfortable on the field, learning simple movements, and most importantly—having fun in a positive, no-pressure environment.

Parent participation is an important part of the experience, and we encourage families to join in the fun. It’s all about smiles, teamwork, and building a love for the game from the very beginning.

  • League Age 3: must turn 3 years old by 8/31/26.
  • League Age 4: turns 4 by 8/31/26 (may play Wee Ball or Sluggers).
  • League Age 5: turns 5 by 8/31/26 (too old for Wee Ball; must play Sluggers).
SLUGGERS Baseball | Ages 4–5
First step after Wee Ball

Sluggers is our youngest formal baseball division. It teaches the basic fundamentals of baseball including hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running. A soft baseball is used for safety and all players hit from a tee.

Every player bats once each inning (continuous lineup). An inning is complete when everyone has taken a turn at bat.

  • Players must be 4 years old (as of August 31) to participate in the Sluggers Division.
  • For players who are League Age 5 and playing for the first time, we recommend the Sluggers Division.

MINOR T Baseball | Ages 5–6
Tee & machine pitch fundamentals

Minor T continues to teach the basic fundamentals of baseball: hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running. The primary goal is to introduce children to the excitement of the game and the value of teamwork.

A soft baseball is used for safety. Players hit from both a machine and a tee to help put the ball in play and keep the game moving. Sportsmanship and fair play are stressed for both players and coaches.

Players are assigned to teams in a random order, with consideration given to siblings. Defensive play typically includes 4 infielders, a pitcher, a catcher, and 4–5 outfielders to keep as many children involved as possible.

The batting order is continuous and a maximum of 5 runs per inning is enforced. No official score, statistics, standings, or playoffs are kept. Games are limited to 4 innings or 1.5 hours, whichever comes first.

For players who are League Age 5 and playing for the first time, we still recommend starting in the Sluggers Division.

MINOR B Baseball | Ages 7–8
Intro to live pitching & strategy

Minor B builds on the fundamentals while introducing live pitching and basic game strategies. When live pitching is not used, a machine is utilized; players do not hit from a tee at this level.

Umpiring is done by coaches positioned behind the pitcher’s mound. Score is kept and all teams make the postseason playoffs, culminating in a division champion.

Defensive play includes 4 infielders, a pitcher, a catcher, and 3 outfielders. Equal playing time is stressed and expected. Games are scheduled for 5 innings and usually last no longer than 2 hours.

Players who are 8 years old are eligible to be voted onto an All-Star team.

Live pitching is used full-time; there is no machine pitch in Minor A. The batting order is continuous and a maximum of 4 runs per inning is enforced, except in the final inning. Traditional defensive alignments are used.

MAJORS Baseball | Ages 10–12
Premier Little League baseball

Majors is our premier baseball division, where the development from the lower levels culminates in a competitive environment. Coaches continue to emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play with the goal of winning games.

Standings are kept and all teams participate in a postseason playoff, culminating in a division champion. Teams are formed through a draft following tryouts.

If a player age 10 or 11 is not drafted by a Majors team, they will be placed on a Minor A team. All 12-year-old players will be assigned to a Majors team if they are new to the division.

There are four All-Star teams that players may be voted onto: a 10-year-old district team, a 12-year-old district team, an 11-year-old team, and a second 12-year-old team that participate in tournaments such as the Brandywine Invitational. District teams may advance to state, regional, and national tournaments.
