Light the Night Initiative
In our 52nd year of operation, we are fortunate to be one of the area's most fun, vibrant and competitive Little Leagues.
We have been a constant in the Bear/Glasgow/Newark community offering multiple generations a place to learn to play, build life-long friendships and fall in love with the games of baseball/softball.
We pride ourselves in the development of players (starting as young as 5) with the ideals of respect, teamwork, loyalty and character in hopes of preparing them for future life challenges.
As a non-profit private organization we do not receive any funds from the State or local counties. Registration fees, concessions and local sponsors allows us to cover our costs to operate and provide basic maintenance to our facilities.
As part of our commitment to deliver the best experience we can for our children and our families, this year, we are embarking on a capital campaign to Light the Night and we need your support!
Light the Night aims to raise $150,000 to improve the Majors Softball field by installing permanent lighting up to Little league International code standards and updating the electrical infrastructure.
These enhancements will enable us to create a safer, more enjoyable environment to play softball for years to come!
We know the past few years have been chaotic, but that is why we are working hard to bring a sense of normalcy and fun back to our kids!

Canal Strong Donor – any amount up to $249
We will provide Facebook recognition on the 1st of the month for 12 months
Base Hit Donor - $250 - $1,499
We will provide Facebook recognition on the 1st of the month for 12 months and your business logo on the Light the Night Sponsor board* that will be erected at the Major Softball field for the 2022/2023 Spring & Fall seasons.
Home Run Donor - $1,500 - $2,999
We will provide Facebook recognition on the 1st of the month for 12 months, your business logo on the Light the Night sponsor board, 4x8ft. company sign erected along the outfield fence of the Major Softball field for 1 year.
Grand Slam Donor - $3,000 -$9,999
We will provide Facebook recognition on the 1st of the month for 12 months, your business logo on the Light the Night sponsor board, 4x8ft. company sign erected along the outfield fence of the Major Softball field for 4 years.
All-Star Donor - $10,000 - $24,999
We will provide Facebook recognition weekly for 12 months, your business logo on the Light the Night sponsor board, 4x8ft. a company sign erected along the outfield fence of the Major Softball field for 10 years, an honorary invitation to throw out the first pitch at the 2023 opening day ceremonies.
World Series Donor - $25,000+
We will provide Facebook recognition weekly for 12 months, your business logo on the Light the Night sponsor board, 4x8ft. a company sign erected along the outfield fence of the Major Softball field for 20 years, dedication of the Major Softball field name in your honor.
